1. Acceptance of these terms

By browsing, using or interacting with getmarriedinfrance.net (the “site”, “directory”), you accept these Terms of Use in full. If you do not accept any part of them, please do not use the site. We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force is the one published here on the date you visit.

2. About the directory

getmarriedinfrance.net is an editorial guide to French wedding venues for English-speaking couples, owned and operated by Jean-Luc Benazet (sole trader, United Kingdom). The directory is independent and is not affiliated with, owned by, sponsored by or paid by any of the venues listed. See our Privacy Policy for the full independence statement.

3. Information accuracy and editorial nature

Each venue profile is compiled in good faith from information published on the venue's own official website at the time of writing. We make reasonable efforts to verify the details we publish, but we cannot guarantee that any specific detail is correct, current, or complete. Capacities, pricing, language support, accommodation, ceremony options, noise restrictions, accessibility, opening dates and ownership can change at any time without notice.

Always confirm anything that materially affects your wedding directly with the venue before making any booking, deposit, payment or contract commitment. The directory is a starting point for research, not a substitute for it.

4. Bookings, deposits and contracts

The directory is a publishing service. We are not a booking agent, planner, broker, intermediary, contracting party or service provider for the venues we feature. Any booking, deposit, payment, contract or agreement arising from your enquiry is exclusively between you and the venue (or supplier) in question. We have no involvement in, control over, or responsibility for the conduct, performance, cancellation or refund policies of any venue or supplier.

5. Recommended suppliers

The directory features two recommended suppliers — Madly Wed (photography) and Delirious Weddings (videography). These are independent businesses with their own websites, contracts, packages and obligations. Any engagement you enter into with them is solely between you and that supplier; we do not warrant or guarantee their services, and we earn no commission from them.

6. External links

The site contains links to external websites operated by venues, suppliers and other third parties. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not control, endorse, monitor or take responsibility for the content, practices, availability, security or privacy policies of any external site. You access external sites at your own risk.

7. Intellectual property

Original text, layout, design, the watercolour-style illustrations and other site-specific photography on getmarriedinfrance.net are © 2026 Jean-Luc Benazet. All rights reserved. Venue names, logos and marks remain the property of their respective owners and are used here for editorial and identification purposes.

You may share links to individual pages on the directory freely. You may not reproduce, redistribute, resell, copy substantial portions of the site, scrape its data programmatically, or use any of the original illustrations or text without prior written permission.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site:

• in any way that breaches any applicable law or regulation;
• to send any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material;
• to introduce viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other harmful material;
• to attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, the server on which it is hosted, or any connected service;
• to scrape, crawl or harvest content for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.

9. User-submitted content

If you submit information to the directory (for example, via the contact form or by requesting a listing), you confirm that the content you submit is accurate, that you own or have permission to use it, and that it does not infringe any third party's rights. By submitting content you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use it for the editorial purpose of running and improving the directory.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all representations, warranties, conditions and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, getmarriedinfrance.net and Jean-Luc Benazet shall not be liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, arising under or in connection with:

• your use of, or inability to use, the site;
• your use of, or reliance on, any content displayed on the site;
• any booking, contract, dispute or transaction between you and any venue or supplier;
• any indirect, consequential, special or punitive loss, including loss of profits, business, opportunity, savings, data or goodwill.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless getmarriedinfrance.net and Jean-Luc Benazet from and against any claim, loss, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site, or your infringement of any third party's rights.

13. Removal and corrections

If you are a venue, supplier or rights-holder and you wish to request a correction, an addition, additional photographs, or full removal of your venue's profile from the directory, email hello@getmarriedinfrance.net with the details. We will act on reasonable requests within ten working days.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict or terminate your access to the site at any time, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms.

15. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page, with a revised “last updated” date. Your continued use of the site after any revision constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

16. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These terms (together with our Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your use of the site.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute or claim, save that nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking interim relief in any competent jurisdiction.
